Day Three
Lagos
Today we got up at our own pace, quite a few people were doing Kayaking today which would have been really cool! But I was very keen to see what the beaches of Lagos were like!
We went to a really great traditional english breakfast place in the morning for a fry up and some free wifi! haha and then we headed along to the beach with one of the other guys from the tour, Eric, who is also from Perth. We caught a ferry over and jumped in the water straight away. It was cold, refreshing and wonderful! We did a bit of sun baking before heading up to beach to check out the restaurants along the way we saw masseuses on the beach in huts .. amazing! Lunch was fantastic! I got a lovely crisp glass of white wine and a delicious scallop and mango salsa salad! Just what I needed! Rhys got the Portuguese chicken, of course! And Eric ordered the swordfish! I must say lunch here was a success! Yummy!
After getting a little sunburnt we went back to the flat were our amazing roomies had cooked up a fantastic meal of bbq chicken and salad! It was really nice having food made for us instead of eating out! So thanks guys! haha We hung out the back for a few hours just chatting with everyone about anything and everything which was really cool. They headed out at about 12am to party more but we knew we had a 5:30am wakeup so we could get to Tariffa the next day so we headed to bed… Wow we sound boring but this drinking and sun stuff gets tiring haha!
