Today we travelled from Athens to Zakynthos! We decided to hop in a cab to the airport, since trains are not Chris’s jam .. and well .. bag towing sucks when a wheel is missing!
Cab was cruisey, around 40 euro however, but worthwhile considering the train fare alone is 20euro for us both.
We had flight delays with Sky Express, but the transfer on the other end was fantastic and whizzed us to our hotel in no time!
We are staying at the beautiful Lesante Blu, Zakynthos
After a lovely welcome + welcome drink, we headed to our room! With sweeping sea views … we are pretty happy with our choice!
We adventured down to the pool area to scope out the place. We approve!

Cheese platter for me and the special of the day, rabbit pasta for Chris!! I love how adventurous he can be with food!
We walked to the beach and dipped our toes in the warm water! It is beautiful down here! We would LOVE to spend the day swimming here tomorrow!
Time to relax and get ready for our Degustation at Melia Restaurant! Rookie error eating a late lunch … I am panicking I won’t be able to manage the 5 (sort of 7) courses!!
It’s ok guys … we managed!! haha! Every dish was great! The duck in particular! YUM!!
After dinner we waded out into the water and onto the jetty. The lights made it look far too tempting to miss! The stillness and quiet was great, watching little fish swim about, and then we heard the greek music coming from a neighbouring hotel! What a moment.
We stayed here for some time.
